Though many would say the cause was his childhood shyness and lifelong aversion
to being photographed, Michael's career behind the camera is actually a
continuation of the legacy started by his father and great-uncle at a prestigious
commercial photography studio in downtown Chicago several decades ago.

commercial photography studio in downtown Chicago several decades ago.
Michael graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington in 1991 and, though
he has explored other career paths--paralegal, social work--he always
returned to his first love of photography.
Honing his fundamental skills capturing eye-catching street scenes and
cityscapes throughout Chicago, he has extensive experience in portraits,
school pictures, and of course, his specialty, wedding photojournalism.
With over 15 years of experience in photographic reportage of weddings
and other special events, Michael combines a creative eye with the skill of
an experienced photojournalist and expertise in classic portraiture.
In his free time--what little he has with 5 kids--Michael enjoys creative writing,
sports and chasing his family around with his beloved Nikons.
